The 2020–2021 adopted school calendar is available on the division's Calendar page. Please note that the school year will begin after Labor Day on September 8, 2020. In addition to a post-Labor Day start, below are several additional highlights that we hope will be helpful to you as you begin planning for next school year.

  • Two full weeks for winter break.
  • Spring break is the first full week in April (consistent with regional school divisions).
  • Election Day is a student holiday (Seventeen schools serve as voting precincts, and we expect heavy voter turnout for the presidential election. This will help increase safety in our buildings and on the roadways).
  • Parent-teacher conferences normally on Election Day have been moved to the day prior to Election Day to help reduce traffic congestion and increase safety.

The Calendar Committee is comprised of parents, teachers, support employees, and administrators who prepare a proposed calendar each year for the school board’s consideration based upon input from a variety of stakeholders. The committee will continue to meet to evaluate calendar options for the 2021–2022 school year. The committee plans to present a proposed 2021–2022 school calendar to the school board in the spring of 2020.
